The Board of Directors

Being a 501c-3, Branches Pregnancy Resource Center is governed by a Board of Directors. The board serves as the entity responsible for overseeing the activities of our organization. Each board member is an integral part of the operations of our ministry. Members gather together for regular board meetings to discuss center operations and vote on potential changes they believe are beneficial to the future of the ministry and its clients.

Meet Our Board

Gary DeHaas

Interim Board President

Gary DeHaas moved back to Vermont in 2017 to pastor Windham Community Chapel in Dummerston.  Gary grew up in Massachusetts and Connecticut and attended college in Maine.  He has served churches in Vermont (2), New Jersey, Michigan, Nebraska, Pennsylvania, and New York. He has a passion for helping people develop into fully devoted followers of Jesus and is intentional about leading people to life change in Christ Jesus. He joined the Board of Directors in 2017.

Derek Irvine

Board Vice President

Derek Irvine moved to the area in 2015 to serve as the Associate Pastor of Vernon Advent Christian Church in Vernon, VT. As native New Englanders, Derek and his wife, Kathleen, were excited to move back to the area after serving the Lord at a wonderful church in Virginia. They have one daughter, Anna, who keeps them on their toes! Derek is excited about serving the community through the ministry of Branches.

Andrew George

Board Treasurer

Andrew is very excited to be a part of the amazing journey that Branches has been on and grateful for the opportunity that God has given him to play a role in helping those who receive resources and education regarding pregnancy and parenting. Though Andrew works as a financial advisor; he comes from a mental health background. After receiving his M.A. in Counseling Psychology, he spent almost 10 years as a therapist. Andrew has been actively involved with helping children, families and parents during his career. He and his wife have three children and one foster child. He is excited to see what the Lord has in store for Branches moving forward, and the plans that God has for him along the way. Andrew feels truly blessed to be a member of this mission.

Cindy Kenyon

Board Secretary

Who am I?  I am a Christian.  A blood-bought, redeemed, child of the Living God.  As a follower of Christ, I serve where He tells me to, and right now, it is here, in this wonderful ministry that seeks to help the lost to find Him, the found to grow in Him.  This ministry is all about relationships, and I love those I have developed here. I live in Brattleboro with my husband Rick, and our ever-entertaining dog and cat.   The Lord has also led me to work at Grace Cottage Hospital, to fellowship at Community Bible Chapel, and to sing His praises wherever I go.  If I don’t get to meet you here, I’ll see you in heaven!
